Hey guys! I have something super special for you today. Me on video!
I never thought this would happen but I mustered up the courage to do it and I’m very excited (and nervous) to share this with you today. I’ve learned a lot so far and I know there is SO MUCH more to learn. I’m excited to branch out in a whole new direction.
In this video I talk about the overcoming the fears you have in your own life. Those fears that are holding you back from doing what you really want to do.
As you watch the video think about your own fears. What do you have in your life that you want to accomplish but are too afraid? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
Also, I’d like to give a shout out to Khaleef over at Fat Guy Skinny Wallet. Without his help this video wouldn’t have ever happened. In the video I talk about finding someone who is doing the thing you want to do and pick their brain. Khaleef was that person for me in this project. Thank you Khaleef!!

Thanks Sofia! It’s good to know that EVERYONE has those same thoughts. Whenever my kids are nervous about something, like the first day of school, I remind them that everyone in their class is having those same feelings. I think that helps a lot!

This was great! This totally reminds me of the “basic eye makeup” statement you made to me over a decade ago! I repeat that to myself every time I am nervous about something!

I love your video! You are a true inspiration to me, that is for sure! You have been my whole life though!…I am so happy that you overcame your fear to make this video! I def want to go back to school, and all of the excuses that allow me to talk myself out of, you hit right on the head!….Babysteps!….Im doing it!….also…even moreso than school, I will overcome my escalator fear…as crazy as it is! Back to Macys we go! Greg has been trying to help me with this! He’s great! Love you, and hope to see more of these!
Ashley, this is an amazing video. I’m so proud of you for overcoming your video fears, this is one that I’m working on and I know I’m just goint to have to make myself do it. Everything about the video is effective. You are very informative while at the same time continuosly keeping attention. The background is cute and simple which isn’t distracting. Obviously the subject is fantastic because I don’t know anyone who isn’t putting off something fabulous for later because their affraid to do it today. Great job, I can’t wait to watch the next one.
I just experienced this today. I had my 1st early morning class and all those thoughts ran through my mind. Am I going to be on time? What if I can’t find the classroom? What if all the seats are full? etc etc I went to class, arrived at 8:04 and it went fine. I found a seat, no one cared I was a few minutes late. I even talked to the prof. after class! I am glad I did it and got over my fear. I have similar fears when contacting creditors or debt collectors, but sometimes you just have to pick up the phone. Great first video!
